work in progress

Bronc JaXon fair skinned with ginger hair and an athletic build, was sitting in the local bar a couple blocks off Main Street, and thinking to him “What if.” You see Bronc use to have a best friend a companion and a brother, but it all went away after he so called betrayed him.  Josh Mane was his name and he had everything going for him up until the accident, they were racing and Bronc had tampered with Josh’s car to teach him a lesson.  He was just so full of hot air, he needed to come back down to earth before he floated up sky high! Unfortunately a crash happened and it was Bronc’s fault. He tried to hide the fact that he tampered with it but Josh found out that he did and that made it worse that he lied. The crash did a number of things to Josh so it made him hard for him to forgive Bronc. Josh lost all feeling in his right arm, broken leg, a maimed face, shattered ribs, a dead dog who was josh’s pride and joy and finally to top it all off severe brain damage. He didn’t know how such a bad thing happened from just a little tinkering but it did and it cost him his friend and a little jail time.

Bronc, just starting to finish up his drink saw josh walk into the bar and he didn’t see any scars but he could defiantly see that fierce anger and hatred. Josh walked straight up to Bronc and in an icy voice he whispered in his ear.

“One day you will pay. Somehow or another; I swear that you will pay, and I will watch you suffer and laugh. You will know pain and I will know justice. To Hell with your mediocre attempts of recompense... to hell with you.”

Then he walked out. Leaving Bronc perplexed and depressed. He decided to go home, to his soft bed and fall asleep.

Bronc woke up to his alarm blaring an annoying twang.  For some reason it seemed to bother him more than normal. The blaring seemed louder and the twang seemed to have more of a sour note to it. He started to feel tingly all over and his stomach felt like it was doing back flips over and over again. He did not want to go to work today.

Groggily he got up and went to get ready for the day. As he was getting ready he heard the sound of someone knocking on his door.

“Just a minute!” he yelled from the far corner of his condo. “I’ll be there in a second.”

When Bronc got to the front door and opened It no one was there. He thought that was strange but through the thought away. It had to have been just some stupid kids or teenagers trying to pull a prank. The kids around here weren’t the most respectful and they were always getting into trouble.

He turned away when suddenly he found someone standing in his kitchen! “What the heck are you doing here? Who are you?”

This man was dressed in a black cloak and had some sort of mask. “Why are you dressed like you just came out of a video game? Get out of my home, I don’t want any company. Off with you, go, go!”

The black man turned around and jumped at Bronc knocking him to the floor. He crashed hard and searing pain shot up his leg. He got back up and through the black man to the ground he knew it was josh it had to be. He pinned him down and ripped off his mask, revealing his face. It wasn’t him though! Where’s Josh!?”  He screamed furiously at the intruder. “Where is he? I know he sent you here! Tell me you coward! Where is he?”

“I’m not telling you anything.” He said with a sly tone. “You were arrogant and foolish and you will pay for what you have done to Josh. You deserve more than jail time. You wrecked his life. Destroying his lively hood and separating him from the real world. I’m with him in saying you deserve death.”

With that he broke off a false tooth and bit down on it Bronc jumped off and gazed in astonishment at him as the black man had a seizure and then with a mouth full of foam stopped, now dead. Bronc got rid of the body and went looking for josh. He spotted his lost friend on the corner of a street. He started running, and started catching up to josh when he spotted him and too off on a run of his own.

Bronc's moment

There’s a white gown, soft music, and happiness. It’s beautiful outside and for Bronc, seeing his bride so beautiful and elegant has been the highlight of his life. She gives him a kiss and then goes back into the the back room to finish getting ready. In awe, Bronc sat back down in his seat. Listening to his favorite tracks by Eminem. He couldn’t believe he had made it this far with her. It was astonishing beyond comprehension. Every day he said that that he would take her away, every day he would look her in the eyes and want to ask will you be my bride and every day he would do his best to make sure they stayed together so he could do that. Now that day has come and he is dumb struck. With the biggest and silliest smile on his face he walks out onto the church balcony and screams out loud that he did it.

“I did it!” he would say. “I did it!” he was the happiest man alive.

Finally his father came in. Bronc’s parents weren’t the happiest about what happened with the setting up and stuff, but why would he care about what they would think? He’s got his bride to be and she’s ecstatic about the set up and who shes with and everything is perfect.

“It’s time bud.” His father said with a smile.

Bronc then walks out to start the best moment of his life.

internal

Crack! I hear the thundering’s and lightnings roar through the night. In between the flashes and roars I someone walking slowly towards my window. A dark figure stocky and wicked, the air seems to get a little bit thicker and harder to breath. It goes dark I can’t see panic is starting to creep in as the figure gets closer and closer, I scream for help but not a sound comes out of my mouth, the air thickens even more, lights of blue, purple, and green are flashing in front of my eyes. I can’t see so many flashes the figure gets closer and its smiling that horrid smile. It’s looking for me! I run but I can’t seem to get away. Faster and faster I move my legs slower and slower I seem to move, my path getting longer and longer and safety becoming just a glimmer of light getting further and further and further away. “Help,” I plead. “Help me!” yet no one seems to hear or care. I see that I can no longer run and be safe. If I want a secure moment of freedom I must fight. I finally have turned around and I see this monster. The devils spawn and I fight. I punch I kick and draw blood. The monster gets up and throws me against the wall. I slam against the wall and all feeling escapes from my body. I can’t feel, I can’t move, I can’t do anything. I am stuck and the monster looms over my face, its bloody fangs and darkened face bearing through my soul. All that there is in my heart now is one thought. Is this the end?

A lamb's conflict

Through a new will’s core, in pieces, I go.

As rioting mouths sound death, like the fire below.

This is my final battle, for cathedrals I roam.

Now it hurts, here comes the devil, mouth full with flame and foam.

Long moments of heat, and my simple hands with a prayer.

”Please god, sing me that righteous roar! Show me you care…

Show me thine power! Condemn this beast!

Set me free! Let my soul be at peace.”

“My little one in fleece be filled with your shepherds light.

For through our love, your weakness becomes your might.

This savage burden may be a piece of your past,

but you suffering will refract into glory, if you just hold fast.”

So through a new will’s core, in pieces I go,

But the rioting mouths are silenced and the fire is quenched below.

This is my final battle, the devil had dropped and I no longer mourn.

“Thank you, oh lord, for my victory in being reborn.”

“My child,” he said. “thou knowest I love you evermore.”
